At BOLD, we are excited for our BOLD modules which have been prepared meticulously by project partners and have been reviewed by esteemed external reviewers!
Specifically, Web2Learn and the BOLD partnership express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Barbara Heinisch and Dr. Sanita Reinsone for their valuable contribution to our project! Dr. Heinisch for reviewing module “Citizen Science for Linguistic Diversity”, and Dr. Reinsone the modules “Maker culture and fab innovation” and “Open linguistic data, governance and data activism”. Their detailed and insightful review has further enhanced and ensured quality of the BOLD modules, in line with latest developments in the fields of linguistics and cultural diversity.
A few words about the reviewers
Barbara Heinisch, (ORCID-ID: 0000-0002-1362-4088) is a researcher and lecturer at the Centre for Translation Studies at the University of Vienna. Her research interests include specialised translation, terminology, accessibility, digital humanities and citizen science. In her research, Barbara addresses citizen science from both a practical perspective and meta-perspective, including the interrelation between citizen science and responsible research and innovation or the third mission of universities. Moreover, in her research, she addresses the link between social innovation, translation and citizen science. Her most recent co-authored publications include a chapter in the book The Science of Citizen Science about the Citizen Humanities and the article Citizen science in the social sciences and humanities: the power of interdisciplinarity.
Sanita Reinsone, (ORCID: 0000-0003-1980-5450) is a senior researcher at the Institute of Literature, Folklore and Art of the University of Latvia, head of the Digital Humanities Research Group. She also holds positions as a lecturer at the University of Latvia and Riga Technical University. Dr. Reinsone is also co-leading the Latvia’s Digital Humanities Society (digitalhumanities.lv) and is an initiator and co-coordinator of the international NGO #ScienceForUkraine (scienceforukraine.eu). Research activity and interest: digital humanities, particularly in the context of autobiographical studies and participatory methods in digital cultural heritage
